THRACO-MACEDONIAN TRIBES, Derrones. Circa 480-465 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 17 mm, 2.44 g, 1 h). Bull recumbent to right, head turned back to left; above, akanthos flower. Rev. Crested Corinthian helmet within shallow incuse. AMNG III, p. 145, 4. HGC 3, 284 (this coin illustrated). SNG ANS 932-935. Beautifully toned and with an impressive pedigree. The reverse weakly struck and with some old scrapes, otherwise, good very fine.
